Vincent & Vincent
New Australian leather wear and accessory label, Vincent and Vincent is about to release their debut collection next month.
Designed by brothers James and Isaac Vincent, Collection One launches with seven jackets, two of which are available for women.
Delivering a mix of tradition and reinterpreted history the offering ranges from cropped biker and bomber jackets to decadent tailored evening wear.
The raised waist lines and lean body conscious fits are inspired by vintage jackets of the early 1970s and icons of the proto-punk era of hard and glam rock; Roxy Music, T. Rex, Black Sabbath, and AC/DC.
"We want to create leather jackets as classic as your favorite pair of jeans, dependable on your best and your worst days, the type that only gets better with time."
With rich vegetable tanned leathers and cupro linings, tight-zipped biker jackets are given a luxurious touch, while the weather-proofed goat nubuck used in the double-breasted sea coat retains its intended utility.
Blazers finished in suede's and velvets feature slim proportions, with narrowed peak lapels and shawl collars, pinched waists and high sleeves that capture the austerity of classic evening wear.
"Our benchmark for quality is the 30 year old vintage jackets that survived everything their owners put them through," James said.
The jackets start at $660 for the biker and bomber styles.
Check out the collection below; the styling executes the aesthetic perfectly. This shoot alone is incredibly inspirational.
My personal pick of this collection is the deep green leather jacket - oh my.
